Dedicated to listening, family and the Red Sox.
As a former lawyer, divorce mediator and retail entrepreneur,
my life has been one of serving people. And if there’s one
thing I’ve learned doing that, it’s that you have
to listen to people - carefully and with full attention to detail.
That’s a lesson I learned early on, and it’s something
I pride myself on professionally. In my opinion,
everything
else comes easily after that.
I am proud to hold the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, the premier professional designation for insurance professionals. To earn this designation, I passed 8 examinations in a variety of insurance-related subjects, met specified experience requirements, and have agreed to comply with both The American College's Code of Ethics and Procedures and applicable continuing education requirements. I am also a certified Long Term Care Professional (LTCP). Throughout my life, I have been involved in a variety of non-profit and community organizations.
On a personal note, I’m a native of Illinois and have lived
in Exeter, New Hampshire for over 20 years. After finishing college,
I lived in England for eight years, where I became a lawyer. After
returning in 1981, I owned businesses in divorce mediation and
retail before starting Prime of Life Insurance. In my free time, I enjoy the company of my three children, playing and listening to music, being involved in community activities, and cheering for the Boston Red Sox.

1. What’s it like to work with
Ida?
Considering insurance of any type is a process that shouldn’t
be rushed or pressured. Taking the time to fully understand your
life situation and your insurance needs before you sign anything
should be the No. 1 priority for both you and your insurance agent.
Unfortunately, many insurance agents don’t operate that
way, though they’d have you believe so. What we do is different.
While others focus on closing a deal, often on the first meeting,
we look to understand you and your situation first and then advise
you on a course of action consistent with your needs. Since I’m
independent—no strings attached to any particular insurance
company—I have the freedom to search the all the best companies
and policies to find the one that meets your needs.
If you live or work in New Hampshire, Maine or Massachusetts,
contact me, and we can discuss
your situation. If you’re further away, feel free to contact
me and I may be able to help you, or find someone who can.
2. What companies do you represent?
I currently represent, or can apply to represent, the following long-term care insurance companies; almost all are in the Top 20 Long-Term Care Insurance Companies published annually in Broker World's LTCI Survey. John Hancock, MetLife, Genworth Financial, Allianz, Lincoln Benefit, Prudential, Physicians Mutual, Med America, MassMutual, Golden Rule, and Lincoln National. These ratings are based solely on premium sold, not on qualitative measures. We will be happy to provide information on why we do or do not represent specific companies when we meet with you.
